6 Proven Ways To Make Your Clothes Lint Free
6 PROVEN WAYS TO REMOVE LINT FROM YOUR CLOTHES AND UPHOLSTERY
Do you have pets at home or did you just take a trip to a cold place?
If yes, then lint can be one of your major problems for your clothes and upholstery. Lint is the small fibres that separate from the garment over time or pet hairs. This can make your otherwise fabulous clothes dull and worn out. Remove lint to make your clothes fresh and new as ever in the following ways.1. Electric lint remover:
The obvious method is to use an electric lint remover like this one. Just glide the machine over the worn out parts or the affected areas to remove the lint. An electric lint remover will remove both, fine hairs as well as balls or pills formed on the clothes. This will be perfect for removing pet hair or even after a trip where you have used your woollens. Use this on both, and make your clothes and your upholstery lint free.2. Razor:
Lay the garment flat on a table and use a clean and sharp razor on the affected areas in upward motion. Pull the garment from one hand and use the razor from other as this will prevent the razor from cutting into the garment. Avoid using razor with soap or moisturisers in them as this may lead to more lint. A razor could be used for the sticky pills or balls formed on woollen clothes that are difficult to remove otherwise.3. Adhesive tape:
An adhesive tape is an inexpensive DIY alternative to remove small fine fibres on the garment. You can use a rolling pin or used bottle. Stick one end of the tape on the rolling pin or bottle but make sure the sticky side is facing outside. Roll the tape around the pin or bottle and simply use it to remove lint. Use to and fro motions on the garment and you will see fine hairs of fibre getting stuck on the sticky side of the tape.4. Velcro:
To remove lint, you only need the rough side of the velcro with the hooks on them so set aside the soft side. Use this rough side by rubbing it against the garment in downwards motion in the affected areas and you will see the lint getting stuck on the velcro. Velcro’s are perfect for those sticky balls of fibres that form on your woolens and for lint free upholstery.5. Lint roller:
A lint roller should be available in any departmental store in the laundry section. Like the adhesive tape you can rub the roller gently in to and fro motions to remove lint from the garment. This method may not be helpful to remove sticky pills formed on clothes but is very effective to remove fine fibres and even pet hair on the clothes and even your upholstery.6. Care4wear:
